First & Full Installment Payments:
The Town of Stephenson is one of the few townships in Marinette County who collect their own property taxes for the first or full installment … due by January 31st.
Marinette County mails tax bills out during the 2nd week or so of December
All address changes must be in by mid-November to be on current years tax bill (see: Misc Helps below)
You may pay in person via check:
Every day during tax season:
9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Watch for days we'll be receiving payments at the Town Hall, located at W11280 County Rd X
Misc Helps:
- Make your check out to: Town of Stephenson
- Please fill out your checks completely, correctly, signed and legible
- Including your phone number on your check is helpful when we need to contact you with questions/information
- Please remember to bring (or enclose if mailing) your tax bill stub located on the upper left of the tax bill
- Check your tax bill for accuracy
- Check your tax bill for Lottery Credit if you are a Town of Stephenson full-time resident
- Receipts mailed only if you supply a self-addressed stamped envelope
- Receipts may be emailed … please include your email address with payment
- If you’ve moved … please inform Marinette County Land Office before mid-November ~ click here

- Per Post Office and WI DOR … mail tax payments early! The Post Office has changed how & what location they date stamp envelopes. Mail may take longer when mailed from small communities like ours.
